About us
Hello! We are Matt and Cheryl, two enthusiastic scuba divers who fell in love with this activity from our very first dive—mostly! We are excited to share our experiences and knowledge with you, and we hope to inspire you to explore the marvels of the underwater world.

My first SCUBA experience was in St. Thomas with my youngest son, Parker. We did a try SCUBA, it was one of the most incredible experiences I ever had. When I got back home I stopped by to see my friends that just so happened to own a dive shop! I signed up for my Open Water Certification course, I figured I would dive here and there. Once I had my first card in my hand, I knew I was headed on a new journey. I kept learning and pushing myself to the next level until I became an Instructor, with over 1,500 logged dives. Teaching SCUBA is a rewarding experience, and one of the best parts is seeing the look of wonder on my student's face when they take their first breaths underwater. It's a moment of pure excitement and amazement, and as an instructor, it's a privilege to be a part of that experience. I have crossed over into the world of technical diving, this requires a tremendous amount of studying, training and dedication. It is beyond recreational limits, with multiple regulators, cylinders, computers and gadgets. One of my favorite gadgets is my rebreather! I would love to help you along your SCUBA journey, no matter where you want to go. So come dive with me!

Most of my life has involved water. My childhood home was on a lake in Massachusetts and my summers were spent in Onset, MA on the ocean or in New Durham, NH on the most beautiful lake in the mountains. My dad was certified before I was born, from time to time he would try to show me how to breath on a regulator but I couldn't do it. Then one day, after driving by Dive Haven in Canton, GA 2 times a day for a few years I decided to stop by. That is when the trajectory of my life changed! Thankfully, after many years of trying I could finally breath off a regulator! Unfortunately I wasn't successful the first go around. My instructors Brenton & Angie didn't give up on me and took extra time to make sure I was comfortable and confident in my skills. Once I had my open water certification, I just kept diving, learning and perfecting my skills, now I have over 1,000 logged dives. Underwater is my favorite place to be and on my long surface intervals, I'm (im)patiently waiting for the opportunity to talk about diving to anyone that will listen!
I would love to show you this beautiful world, so come check out the other 70% of planet earth with me!
